whats ur rl2455hm settings? Its a fairly popular monitor, and I need some help getting some decent settings,

Monitor in perfect vertical position right in front of you without being tilted.

Standard
Brightness 100
Contrast 55
Sharpness 7
Gamma 5

Red 98 Yellow 93 Blue 95

Ama High
Instant mode on

I use it on my pc connected to hdmi with gtx 460 with default color profile settings. If it hurts too much your eyes you can lower brightness a bit as you like.

hmm, well really this is more of a personalized thing. maybe just try fiddling with the settings until its where you like it?

I just want it to look like IPS, and look really crisp, and have good colors

ahh laziness, the mother of all illnesses

but like i said, good colors to me and to you could be totally different there was a vsauce video explaining that each person sees the same color different from another person even

And one quick rant about the RL2455HM:

When theres light behind my monitor (my window) THE SCREEN IS 100% POO! All the colors are washed out, and it just looks terrible

try putting something behind the monitor to block the light?

My room will burn in flames....

It faces the sun, so in the evening (still bright) when i open my window (or else I will sweat to death) the monitor looks like poop.

i have some cheap ones. (still lets in too much light for my pleasure. 

But the issue is that (forgot to mention) that the window opens only in the part behind my monitor. So if i put curtains in front of that the curtain starts flapping all over my stuff, and ruining everything

sounds like you just move your desk, or get rid of the windows and get central air
