System Value?

Hey All,

 

Have a friend who is wanting to get into PCs.

 

what is this used system worth?

3570K

AsRock z77 Extreme 4

coolermaster V8 (with upgraded arctic cooling fan)

 

 

I myself will be upgrading to an i7-4790K and a Z97 board.

I'm thinking in the 275-300 range for all three parts. Am I crazy? Does that sound fair? I may have some case fans for him as well, along with help building it. 

 

I am by no means a noob when it comes to computers, so I'm primarily looking for some human input rather than just numbers.

I would pick up a 4690k plus a decent asus board for that much. but sounds fair enough.

Well according to this, its all worth around $450 new, so I'd say since those are used $300 is a fair asking price, also congrats on getting a new friend into pc's

I also think $300 for that three-piece combo is a terrific deal.  That processor still has plenty of life in it and getting those 3 components for $300 is a rock solid foundation to any gaming build.  Fair deal for you, fair deal for your friend, everyone wins.
