Now i know most people who run distilled water have special additives in with the water. However if its a temporary thing, how long before the water goes "bad". 1 week?

I'm not sure but why not just get some biocide or a kill coil i's not expensive and then you'll have peace of mind and you can always re sue the coil or re-add biocide if you decide to go back to distilled water. Most people just get coloured tubing and use distilled water since coolant is normally leaves stains or starts to gunk if not drained regularly.

Yea, I understand where you both are coming from, however I found out I ran out of coolant. I was wondering if i can just put in pure distilled water and wait for new batch to come in around a weeks time. Would that cause any problems like algae and others?

that should be ok. but if I was you, while you're at it, id try making it run a little while on distilled water, then change the water (to clean the tubes/pump/reservoir from any leftovers)
