Ok, so recently my GPU took a dump and started causing blue screens in just about any first person shooter style game. (yet oddly it would run SWTOR for hours on ultra with no issues....) so I've RMA'd it, and am using my 4690k's onboard graphics.

The issue I find is that when I turn on Vsync with the intel graphics control panel, battlefield bad company 2 (the only game I am playing right now for a variety of reasons) becomes unplayable. I get nothing but input lag and choppiness. I never had this issue with my graphics card, why is this happening? Is there anything I can do to enable Vsync without the choppiness/input lag? I'm running at stock clocks on my cpu with turbo enabled.

now compare that to inputlag and choppyness :P which one is worse?

Good point. I'm just wondering why the Igpu causes input lag and what not, but the dedicated gpu did not.

did you check your fps? im guessing vsync is doing 30 to get it stable, your gpu was more powerful and could make sure a new frame was ready.

That might be it. I mainly enabled Vsync with the GPU because it would go above my screens 60hz locked frame rate. No idea what my FPS was, not really sure what the best way to check it in game is.

why use v sync anyhow?

Have you tried playing something like DOTA without VSync?

It makes me nauseous, in a literal sense, I actually feel my stomach churning.
