Is it possible to downgrade window 8.1 to 8? The initially installed OS is win8 pro. A video on YouTube said to go to change PC setting then to refresh pc and let it do that. I ask because I can't find a reliable fix for corsair link on win8.1, I can't find a supplement for f.lux, and After it forced me to get win8.1 it messed up what files were synced to my comp from my one drive. I had originally set to sync 3-4 folders from one drive. But after the update, it syncs all of them. Anyone have a fix on how to change the win8.1 one drive sync settings on ONLY syncing CERTAIN folders from one drive to PC? Thanks for any help!!!!

Not an option. Too time consuming and too many files to put in too many areas. thanks for trying though!

Just did alittle bit of digging around and found this:

Windows 8.1 Pro includes downgrade rights to:

  • Windows 7 Professional
  • Windows Vista Business

there isnt a way to downgrade back to 8.0 from 8.1

Since Windows 8.1 won’t allow you to restore a system image of Windows 8, you will have to re-install Windows 8

For flux, I got something that might interest you.

I don't like Flux as depending on the monitor is screws up with the monitor settings. Or/and uses software to adjust colors, which reduces color being visible, as it is not at a hardware (monitor) level.

So what I propose. GoodBytes' PowerMonitor.

Free, of course. The software allows you to adjust desktop and laptop and tablets (running Windows, of course) monitor brightness, at a hardware level, via keyboard shortcut. It also supports multiple monitors, and provides an on screen indicator that matches Windows 8 look. By default, Ctrl+Alt+Page Up/Down adjust the brightness, and Ctrl+Alt+Left/Right switches displays. The keyboard shortcuts also works in games. So you can easily adjust the monitor brightness, in your games.

On mobile platform, it can change your Windows power plans based on if you are plugged in or not. So you can have it switch to Power Saver when on battery and Balance when plugged in. So if you have a laptop, the software might interest you there. Monitors battery life too with a nice graph.

You can also put the monitor to sleep via keyboard shortcut. So let's say you have a monitor with a powered USB hub inside, and you are charging your phone (let's say), and you want to go to sleep. You know that if you turn off the monitor, it will cut the power of the USB hub, but you have the display on. So you can tell the monitor to go to stand by mode. Works on laptops and tablets too, great if you want to listen to music, but have the screen off, for example.

If you (or anyone here) are interested:

It's brand new, out of the oven. I didn't do an official release yet.

Feel free to say what you guys think.
