Why people why? Why do people buy these pentium shits and excpect t ogame on them? Has linus mislead them wit hthe whol "faster than a 4770k Oc'ed thing?"

Yes you will bottleneck to the point were it may be uncomfertable to play, (30 fps). So please jsut upgrade CPU or buy a 260x 750ti.

I would've liked to see Linus do the test on a system with a bunch of stuff like browsers with 10 or so tabs along with Skype and teamspeak running in the background.

MSI R9 270X hawk 2GB DDR5

and Pentium 20th Anniversary G3258 3.2GHZ

your better off just ditching the pentium, like its been said above just get an i5 and the 290/x

It depends on what games you are gonna play, But yes most games wont be able to use the GPU to the full extent so it is mainly a bottleneck.

@lovingGamer

If you are gonna play WatchDogs you Need atleast a mid-grade i3 to play at decent settings at 30 fps.

You should wait and get the i3 if you want to play watch dogs, Otherwise the G3258 is enough for easier games like bf3(maybe bf4) COD Advanced Warfare, Skyrim, CS go, etc.

You could always grab the Pentium now, & an i3/i5 in due time.

I'd do that instead of grabbing an AMD ecosystem machine. But thats me personally, you don't have to follow my methods.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

exactly, when i turn off hyper threading and play with only 2 cores at 4.6 ghz most games run very bad.
