$2000-$3500 US (can go over a little)

graphic design and video editing (using most programs found in adobe creative cloud)

1 for now but more in the future

4. Peripherals
i have keyboards, mice, and monitors. will run Windows.

Both will have the 4 3TB hard drives in a raid 10

it will need to last for 5+ years but will upgrade some down the line.

Both look good.

Although I'd ditch the 900D and get something like a R4 or H440 (obvs need to chance cpu cooler to H100/H105 for R4)

900D will look ridiculous with those parts.

System: 5930K, MSI X99 SLI PLUS, GTX 780Ti (SLI),  840 EVO, Fractal R4 (Full Custom Loop)  (IP)

Media Server/Perm Folder: i3 4130, CX500, 4 X WD Red 1TB, 60GB Adata SSD for boot, Node 304, ASrock Z87-E ITX, 8GB Kingston Value Ram

Whats the point in getting the 2 1TB Drives? If you really need more, why not just get more 4TB too add on to the raid away?

 

And your spending more on your Storage, then on your GPU...

If you have the money I'd recommend the LGA 2011-3 build.
