Screen Flickering.

So, here's what's going on...A friend of mine wanted her laptop (emachines pav70 355) to get reformatted...and that's what I did...

 

and after installing windows...I proceed to install the drivers...and not longer than 5 min...the screen started to flicker... 

 

and the only solution I found was to unplug the power cable...that seems to be causing the screen flickering for some weird reasons...anyone else has this problem? what could possibly be the cause?

If there's a driver or hotfix for the battery (they exist) go install that.

uhh yaaa this occured after installing the graphics driver...

So with further testing and messing around with things...here's what I found:

 

1. The problem only occurs when I plug in the power cable.

 

2. The battery icon in the taskbar stops playing that animation that indicates that it's charging...and thats when the screen starts to flicker.

 

3. Somehow for some weird bloody reasons...it was the brightness settings that really causes the problem... so right now...as long as the brightness settings isn't set to full...flickering doesn't happen...regardless if the power cable is plugged in or not...

 

so what do you peeps think is going on? driver bug? hardware problems? (I doubt tho) or something else? 

 

and has this happened to any of you?
