Graphics card confusion

Hello dear members of linustechtips, i have a slight confusion about the dept the actual card goes in to the pci slot.

This is my first time building a pc so i litteraly have no knowledge.

 

 

So... is this right? or is it too far up? :I

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Im mainly asking because it didnt go in properly at first, the left side was 1.5mm~ off, so after some time and some wiggles i got it to this point, does this seem right?

Looks about right. Squish it down a little bit and make sure the slot clip clicks in to place.

I do not have a cpu, ram or hdd.

It didnt click to place but i could close it

just as long as the card can't be pushed in anymore its good. So clicks are really necessary.

im pretty sure i'll break the mobo if i push it in more lol
