which to ship to get

just after some opinions on which ship to get as second ship i have an avenger but want a second ship should i get.

freelancer or freelancer dur or the f7c-s hornet ghost. and does anyone know if all these ships are available for use unlike my avenger.

and i just buy the stand alone ships? thanks in advance

Hornet will get you into arena commander but you will have a trainer hornet and yours in your hangar make sure you have an alpha pass

ok. i have all the arena commander pass and have full package with my avenger so i just buy one from stand alone ships is that correct. also is the hornet the best buy out of them ships

Although hornet is most combat oriented from the ships that you can fly at the moment, I wouldn't say it's the best. I personally like flying 300i much more. It's more agile, has a better visibility from the cockpit and equipped with 3 Omnisky's it makes tons of damage.

  If you are looking into a more exploration-like life then I would recomand the Origin 315P. It's great for exploration, it has some decent weapons, and a little cargo bay.

  If you want a bigger ship, maybe want to transport some goods across some dangerous zones consider the Freelancer or the Freelancer DUR. I wouldnt recomand the Freelancer max because of its lack of powerful weapons. The DUR also has some nice long ranged scanners and some decent weapons. 

  Maybe you are into dogfighting and want a powerful but agile war machine. The hornet is just right for you. Its really small and agile, and it doesn't lack weaponry. You can choose between the standard F7C the F7C-S hornet ghost the stealth one and the F7C-R tracker. Personally I'd go with the basic one, because if you need to you can always upgrade it later on in the game.

  But if piracy is your way of life choose the Cutlass! I personally hate that ship, but it's your choice.

  If you have a couple hundred bucks to spare and a crew of 4 then go for the Constellation(my favorite ship). Pure awesomeness!

between the base freelancer, the DUR vairant and the ghost hornet. I personnaly went with the DUR. it has the same capabilities as the regular, with a little less cargo, but has extended fuel ranges and a few other upgrades. the ghost is fun, but isn't really a combat ship.

 

All three should allow you use of a trainer Hornet in DFM untill they are released.
