External Backup

My old Mass Cool external drive died on me. I need to replace it with a drive and enclosure supporting eSATA. Preferably the drive should run cool too. I've seen some enclosures that turn into saunas during a backup and I suspect that's why my drive failed.

I'm replacing the enclosure due to its very loose eSATA port which has taken some abuse over the last couple years. Recommendations? I figure 1TB is plenty since I do incremental backups once per week and immediately sensitive files are on Google Drive.
