Hi all,

I recently watched Linus's Surround build guild and am thinking about creating one of my own and have a couple of questions. Firstly, what kind of graphics horsepower do I need to drive the massive 7680x1440 resolution and be able to have a smooth experience in current generation games. I am thinking about using Titan Blacks but am currently considering whether 2 in SLI is enough or would I need to use 3? What kind of experience should I expect if I finally decide to dish out the cash to get 3 Titans and what kind of eyecandy compromises will I still be making? My main fear is that games will be choppy and stuttering even after a £2000 outlay.

Secondly, I currently use a 3570K, would I need to upgrade my cpu for this set up?

Thanks!

Having 3 GPU's in SLI isn't going to have a big performance differences when compared to 2 GPU's. Only bragging rights.,

For the GPU's I would get a R9 295X2 or 2 GTX Titan Black SLI.

I think you actually might need to upgrade the CPU as it might bottleneck the GPU(s).

You must "Quote" to get my attention.

3GPus will give you the best experience. 4-way SLI/CFX will not give a big improvement over 3 way

Can anyone confirm that 3570K will bottleneck with 3-way Titan blacks? What should I upgrade to?

I'm pretty sure no one can for the fact that no one would pair $3000 of graphics cards with a $200 CPU. You're better off getting 3 GTX 780 6GB and upgrading to a 5820k and a Rampage V. You'd save a lot of money that way.
