Has anyone had trouble with the construction of the 450D?

kingkickolas

Just wondering because it got kind of mixed reviews.

Specifically, does the drive cage at the bottom flex that much, and is it a problem?

Are the side panels flush with the rest of the chassis?

And, any problems with the front bezel/brushed aluminum?

@kingkickolas The side panel is a bit of a struggle to get flush but i rarely notice it. The only problem i had was with the fans being a bit shit and the front led's but that may be my mobo. everything else is fine

Okay, that's good to hear! I plan on replacing all the fans with Noctuas because my wallet hates me anyway :P

No problems at all here, the case is sturdy even after I removed the drive bays and made some cuts in the motherboard tray.

Thank you!

And yeah, just looked at your mods to the 450D. It's looking AMAZING!

Thanks a lot!

Its kinda done now, but I need to finish the little things, buy some fans, fix the pci-e cable sleeving and most of all I need to add al the led's.. Wich will need me to "dismantle" almost the whole pc, so I can't use it for 3-4 days then. Since university started last week I really haven't got 2 to 4 subsequent full days that I can work on this. I think it will hapen during chrismass brake (3 weeks no colleges).

But I might post some pics of the small things I've done since the last update this weekend :)

"You know, its sad but true" (if you don't get the reference google "Whiplash song" and "sad but true" ^^)
