Problem going form amd to GeForce...

Why do you have an APU and an nvidia card?

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

Bought the APU first than added a discrete GPU later.

Now half the APU is wasted money. It would've been better to get an R7 250 or get an I5 and hold the HD4600 for a sec.

A lot of people would rather use the APU now and play games at decent graphical settings rather than wait on intel's integrated graphics.

Intel's integrated graphics card are not half as bad as people think.

I would recommend DDU, except I've read somewhere that APUs still require some kind of driver support, even with a discrete GPU.

Decent graphical settings being lowest possible at 1080p rather than 720p....? Because that's about the difference. Will still have a low framerate

APU's aren't as bad as you think, the higher end ones can play 1080p just fine and the mid-range ones will get decent framrates on low at 1080p or medium at 720p and depending on the game, low and medium don't look too bad.

Then he'd waste half an i5 xD Glass if half full bro not empty...And he'd waste FULL APU buying an i5 and mobo would also be wasted...  Don't tell people there wasting money then suggest even bigger wastes of money... How's holding on HD4600 any different then holding on R7 Graphics?!

Also AMD's intergrated graphics are much stronger but that's to be expected from an actual graphics card manufacturer... (Note the video is of 2 and 3 gen old APUs vs HASWELL the test may not include i5s but it also doesn't include Kaveri nor does it count Mantle)

Also @OP you may wanna,

1. Uninstall Drivers, Shut down immediately

2. Install graphics card

(Run display off graphics card)

3. Clear CMOS

4. Hope it doesn't recognize the APU til after you install the Geforce Drivers...

if that doesn't work you may need to uninstall windows as window may be fucking with stuff

Lets see low settings 1080p manages 30fps in bioshock and battlefield 4. But if it makes you feel better cysis 3 runs at 40fps on low...720p. Apu's are really terrible for the money you pay. No thank you.
