Question about bf4

I have an i3-4350 dual core @ 3.6GHz with hyperthreading.

I also have an R9 280x.

I can play bf3 on ultra at incredibly smooth 60-75 fps. On some demanding maps it might drop to 55 but that's it

With these specs could I run bf4 at ultra at 60fps? (1080p).

People say you need a quad core with battlefield and I'm doing fantastic with a dual core so I'm just curious if that will change in bf3.

You should be able to, or at least get close. Enable Mantle and see if it works.

When i had an i5 3470 it would get pinned at 95%+ usage.

You should be fine...

You will he getting somewahere between 50-60 fps avg if nit more.

And dont worry about the dual core i3 as the hypertheded cores are treated as physical cores by the game.

You'll probably be ~10-20fps below your BF3 frame rate but I did find BF4 a lot more taxing on my CPU, it'll probably be fine but if you do find you get frame rate drops that would be my first suspect.

I have similar specs, a I3 3220 and a 770.

 

Ultra @ 1200p gives me a good 57-70 FPS

If you have windows 8/8.1 you get an FPS due to optimization for Win8. -gets tackled, tied up, and dragged off into a van-

imo enable mantle, get to ultra but disable MSAA, and at 100-110% resolution scaling you should get a really good frame rate.
