Ever got a 'windows support scam call'?

I got one of these a while back, watched pretty much every youtube video on them since it satred in 2008. Have you guys had them and did they start swearing, if so, here is a link to some insults in Hindi (Indias main language): http://www.myinsults.com/all-insults/hindi-insults

Please don't use these against anyone else, anywhere apart from the scammers lol. Sorry if these insults may offend anyone, these are not for you, but for combating the scammers. I am surprised that it is still going strong, will these people get a life and stop ripping people off.

Anyways, share your thoughts on the link and their effectiveness and if you have been called by one of these scammers, pretty much all of them are indian, so these insults would work like a charm!

Me: I'm not in

Generic Indian: Sir, I really have to ask of you this question

Me: I'm not in, I cannot take your call at the moment

Me: I do not wish to talk to you right now

Me: hangs up because cannot be arsed any more, too impatient

Well I posted this in case they call you repeatedly/start swearing, that means it's going down, and you have a score to settle. This is only if the 'be the better man and walk away' approach has failed, there is nothing you can do that is better than this, reporting probably won't make a difference as the scam is still strong, like I said, this is if leaving them fails.

i have had three MS Support calls and all three i and the wife answered, we tell

them we have Linux and they swiftly hangup.

I agree. Insulting them might only make them call you again and again just to piss you off, too.

Or better yet, give them a dose of their own medicine. Report their phone number to Callercenter and warn others about them. By sharing the info, you do not only save others from falling victims to the scheme but just imagine if a good number of those who read your post call the phone number, too. I bet, those callers won't be able to call anybody for a while because they'll be busy answering calls from their end. Lol!
