GTX 780 Stable Overclock?

Go to solution Solved by FluffyNuggets,

You can leave the memory at stock and just increase the core if you want.

Don't worry about frying the card. Make sure you monitor you temps while gaming and you'll be fine. Make sure you set up a custom fan profile to keep the card cool. You want to get the fans going high before the temps reach 70 degrees. You don't want to run the stock fan profile and let your card sit at 80+ degrees all the time. That's a quick way to kill the card over time.

It doesn't matter what other people get on their cards because your cards will be different. OC the card till its unstable and then back the clock off a little bit.

Take your time and bump it up +5 at a time and stress test it after every increase. If it crashes or begins to artifact then you need to lower the clock or increase the voltage. If you can't increase voltage then there's no more overclocking room on the card.

Nvidia has voltage regulations on their cards now. In the past you could fry them with too much voltage but now they lock it down to a safe level.

You can increase the voltage to max and you'll be safe. Only thing you have to watch for is increasing the memory or core clock too high since that can kill the card.

I won't go over 100+ or 150+ on the Coreclock
