id say dual titanZ. because if you have one, you will never say you have a dual Titan Z setup.

 

and quad = 4 so quadsli = 4way sli.

No there is a difference between the two. It doesn't matter that quad equals 4. Nvidia says the quad SLI is two dual GPU cards is SLI. 4-way SLI is four single GPU cards.

The way I see it...

Quad SLI = is commonly used to describe a two physical dual GPU cards in SLI
4-Way SLI = is commonly used to describe 4 physical cards in SLI

 

These terms are obviously used interchangeably all the time, I don't know which terms are correct, I also don't think it's important to be honest.

 

 

As for the quad Titan Z vs dual Titan Z debate, I am very much in favour of dual Titan Z being used simply because the phrase 'dual Titan Z' implies two physical Titan Zs. It doesn't really matter though... I would still understand what they meant if they said quad titan Z, even though I think dual Titan Z would be 'more' suitable.

To be honest I would prefer if people used the proper acronym for hard disk drive 'HDD',  simply because the acronym 'HD' could be confused with High Definition.
