It's worded like it's game time and there isn't an asterisk (*) so it's safe to assume that it's actual game time. 

 

I thought that too but I had to leave for the weekend after I got the game time, and played it for three hours. When I got back I had to purchase the game to keep playing :/

From what I've seen, you have 48 hours to play the game after you start playing. So, you can download the game without starting your time, but as soon as you play it at all, your time will start. Two days later (real time, not game time) you will have to buy the game if you wish to keep playing.
