haha, I am biased towards Intel for the obvious reason but anything below $800 going AMD would be a better choice IMO.

Eh, I still feel like my build would be better off in the long run because you can still throw in something like an i7 in there and still get great performance.

True, but then again, when/if OP wants to upgrade, the i7 for 1150 may be a but hard to find and stuff.
