The best you can get for about $300 would be a R9-280X.

The performance upgrade would be get good.

hello forummies,

 

i am looking to updrage my grapics card. it needs to be able to run all current games on ultra/high settings. 

i am also wondering if my current powersupply is powerfull enough for a grapics card updrage.

i am currently running the following system:

 

CPU: AMD FX-8150 

RAM: 8 GB corsair vengance 

MB: ASUS sabertooth 990FX

GPU: AMD HD6950

PSU: Corsair GS800 (800 watt) 

HDD: 7200 RPM 2TB

SSD: 128 GB OS drive

 

i was thinking of getting a R9 280X. but if there is a better option please tell me.

280X is your best option it that price range.

so i have looked at the diffrent versions of the R9 280X a bit.

and i have no clue which one i should get.

 

 

is there any card that is really better than the other ones?

 

 

ps. as far as i can tell these would be the best options for me:

 

 

GIGABYTE GV-R928XOC-3GD (rev. 2.0)

 

MSI R9 280X Gaming 3G
