change the mobo to a z97 gaming 7, change RAM to 2x8GB DUAL channel RAM kits, change your SSD to a MX100 or 840 evo, change HDD to WD Black 4TB, swap the 780Ti with a 780(780Ti's not worth it) change PSU to a corsair RM750 and change OS to Windows 7 Ultimate

Alright. http://pcpartpicker.com/p/8sLMMp

Yeah, this is mainly a gaming/recording/video rendering rig.

I believe this would be a better spend of money as it has a 4790k which is great for rendering videos and it's a slightly cheaper build.

you will be indeed better with i7 for the editing the hyper threading does more than you think

also don't choose to pay for a brand thats why i changed the ssd to a-data they got great performance for it.

for 2nd hdd storage the seagate is doing great.

the memory don't matter what brand since they are all the same just another name so to safe a couple of bucks i changed it with a different.

also gold fully modular psu are not worth the money since you will have no advantage from it take a semi modular because you need those standard cables and have more space in the pc

this is the build i came up for and slightly cheaper again also the 4gb vram on the gpu can help you furter

Yes it saves money going with unpopular brands but i don't like recommending parts to other people that are from unheard of brands just in case the part they received was damaged and they need to have it replaced, usually these less popular brands have bad costumer service and can be a real pain to get parts replaced, bigger companies like corsair and msi usually have very good costumer service.

Yes the 290X has better performance but i picked the 780 because it supports shadowplay for recording his gameplay.

the brands are not unpopular the once i choose and if you buy it from a retail shop you just go back to the same shop and they have to do the work for you.

shadowplay is nice but amd also have there piece of that called GVR its more about what things you will using it for

in this article you can see that shadowplay and GVR are identical http://www.gamersnexus.net/game-bench/1561-shadowplay-vs-fraps-vs-gvr-recording-benchmark
