I've resently completed my eight build using an Asus z97 deluxe motherboard.
Well my peripheral of choice was the Logitech g700s..

After doing some research, I found out that not only do we need .net 3.5 to help the logitech software run. But rather that the hangup is caused by ASMedia Sata Ports.  The solution for those getting this hang up on newer builds is to do the old fahsion disconnect all of the extras. In this instance only leave the Os hard drive connected. For me I ended up being super safe, disconnected my Four 3.5Inch hard drives.  and the Optical disc.

After doing so on that. ALL THE SOFTWARE that was giving me a hangup that required drivers, etc etc. Finally fully was being installed without an issue.

On the Asus z97, this was the intel lan, as well as a few others.

Solution for Hang Ups go over:
Disconnect All Sata Drives except the Boot drive for the operating system.

I hope someone passes this onto to Linus so he may release a video and announcment carrying this over to motherboard companies who are using Asmedia for their components.
Other than that, everything works perfect so far.

I have a g502. I've noticed that sometimes when switching from application to application, the default mouse button hotkeys will apply to the application, even though i have a specific setup for that application.

This is particularly annoying, because the button next to left click is bound to Alt+F4 (read close :) ) so for example when i'm in google chrome or battlefield 4 (which have their own setups) it will close the application!

Thank you.  I'll have to be careful on that.
