CoD 4 - PC

As we know Call of Duty games are 50% on Steam this weekend. I was thinking of buying Call of Duty 4 because, as we all know, it is a fantastic game. But do enough people play it on PC, is it easy to get into a game? From what I hear its not so popular anymore but Black Ops 2 is so if CoD 4 is no longer any good player count wise is Black Ops 2 worth £20? I just want to scratch that Call of Duty itch and all the new ones are massive steaming turds.

more people play it then the other cods because people are allowed to create their own servers. cod4 is the best one due to that

I still play CoD - 4 on a regular basis and there is a pretty large community still going, lots of standard servers and lots of modded servers with Promod - Prophunt -Deathrun etc etc. The BO2 community is much larger but it's also got a larger percentage of... Well "children" who all apparently f*ck your mother on a daily basis, and occasionally your father.. Whereas CoD4 seems to be more of a mature playing audience. IMO anyway :)

CoD 5 is best, i love those bolt action rifles.

 

CoD 4 is a close second, but i hate the whole wallspray thing, getting spamfired through a wall across the map. And the movement speed multiplier for the P90, allowing you to sprint like a Kenyan athlete and move people down with ease, it's a scrub gun.

So it sounds like the CoD 4 playerbase is still there then? I will buy it after later then, wait for a couple more opinions first :) I want CoD 4 because its simplicity is unbeatable. I never bought another CoD game after the first Black Ops because they were getting worse and worse so I was assuming BO2 would be the same.

If the players are still in CoD 4 I will definitely be getting that one again :)

I'd get it COD 4 is pretty good, the community/playerbase is pretty active and Promod is top notch.
