okay um what kind of graphics card would i need to play games like the forest and high pixel games from steam and would it affect the computer for work purposes and on a budget of 300- 500 for the graphics card alone

First you need to make sure your powersupply is good enough to support a graphics card...then you also have to make sure that your case got enough room to fit the card you plan to buy (more info on that would help us recommend something that fit your system).

Also you need to make sure that the CPU (processor) in your machine is good enough to feed video games well enough to that graphics card (need info on that as well)

And no it will not affect how the computer ''work'', any other task will still be the same or better.

| CPU: Core i7-8700K @ 4.89ghz - 1.21v  Motherboard: Asus ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING  CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i V2 |
| GPU: MSI RTX 3080Ti Ventus 3X OC  RAM: 32GB T-Force Delta RGB 3066mhz |
| Displays: Acer Predator XB270HU 1440p Gsync 144hz IPS Gaming monitor | Oculus Quest 3 VR

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...
