How many watts do I need

My son is looking to build his own gaming computer and I need help choosing a power supply.

 

I am looking at purchasing the following UK Only:-

 

CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Edition 8 Core Processor

GPU: XFX Radeon HD 7850 DD Edition Graphics Card (2GB, GDDR5)

 

Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

RAM: Corsair CMY8GX3M2B2133C9R Vengeance Pro Series 8GB

Case: Zalman Z9 Plus Midi Tower Case - Black

PSU: Corsair CP-9020078-UK Builder Series 750W CS750M ATX/EPS Semi-Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply Unit

OS: Windows 8 64bit

 

Or does anyone have any recommendations staying within the £600 - £700 (maximum) price range preferably

There is no way you would be using that much power with that build. Save some money and go with a lower wattage one other then that it looks good

Is your budget just for the parts listed ? Or do you need the tower and everything inside for £600-£700?

500w would be enough and it would also leave you some upgrade room for the future 750w is WAY OVERKILL for that cpu and gpu
