sorry if this is in the wrong section.. but..

 

I am looking for suggestions on a SMALL home media PC (kind of like the Gigabyte BRIX or the zotac Z box) that is able to connect to a TV and run movies/shows at 1080P smoothly (no need for fancy 4K).

Budget is relatively flexible but small size, quiet fans without thermal throttle is pretty important to me. What are some good performance to price ratio options?

Intel NUC is your best choice

take the one which is the i3 but allows you to place a 2.5inch SSD into the NUC

 

will be taller than the normal NUC but you have the option to have a notebook HDD

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.
