I've figured out the problem. The cable boxes here do not work for internet. They have Ethernet ports that give limited acess. The modem and router allow for wired connection. Will be moving them to my room hopefully. Thanks for the help none the less!

Hey LTT,

So I just moved my PC across the country and when I got here, the computer wasn't able to read windows. So I completely reset windows, then reinstalled. This worked as I now can boot into windows. But I can't connect to the internet. I have downloaded the latest drivers through another PC. This is the first time using this network and I get the error message "IP Address Configuration is not valid". I have no idea what to do. I am on Ethernet. I can't open device manager either. It is present but in the form of pictures. Is my windows messed up? I'm kind of panicked right now due to the extremely expensive paper weight I have sitting next to me as I type this on my phone. I have not been able to check if other computers can connect through Ethernet just yet. Other computers are able to connect through wifi though.

Specs are in sig and on my profile.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!
