NO! Asus's sub $200 boards are still acceptable IMO but more than that isn't really worth.

Not worth it unless you are going for a color scheme or you are a pro overclocker

Don't they have more cooling with their heatsinks? Why aren't they worth it? I'm assuming anyone that's getting one wants to overclock and wants to keep their VRMs and z97 chipset cool.

Apart for SupremeFX onboard audio, an additional e-SATA and 2 more USB 3.0 ports, external connect buttons (specific for ROG line), better VRM cooling and an Intel network card, it's mostly the same board with a new look to it.

Of course it does come at a premium price, but if you already have the M5, you will not feel much difference. The M5 is a very decent motherboard for its price range.

Not sure why you chose it in the first place though.

Now by no means are they bad they pretty much are the top of the line boards. But if you are on a budget or already have a good board (which you do) then the upgrade is not worth it. But that wont stop me from getting one in my upcoming build.

I currently use the maximus vii gene, and whilst it has all the features you could want it just is plain expensive. Not worth it, unless you really must have it.

Intel i5-4670K, Asus Maximus VII (z97), 16gb Kingston, Asus Gtx 780, Fractal Design Define Mini, 250Gb Samsung Evo, Corsair CS650M
