Will this rig still be really good if I downgrade it to a 6300? He is very price conscious, so anything to bring it down for similar performance is nice.

Don't include an SSD, he just wants to game.

 

I know the benefits, but I would rather he have a good GPU instead of a meh one and an SSD, he can get that later.

Depends on the rendering, and it's not like it will be cripplingly slow on an i5. Stronger cores help in a lot of cases as well.

Yeah, if it's video editing, the i5 will probably have it's ass handed to it.

 

Somewhat OT: I use Photoshop CC in school and at home. Home, I have my 3570K at stock speeds. School, they have AMD A8 5550B APUs. The AMD APUs take forever when doing heavy workload stuff in PS (like using the smudge tool in large areas) but my i5 takes it like a boss.

An FX 6300 performs like an i3 in gaming, usually about 2-5 FPS less than an 8350/i5 depending on title.

Please don't buy a key from G2A. Its not a trusted site, and the license will only last up to 2-3 years if you're lucky.

The keys from G2A isn't from the Microsoft or the owners of G2A instead they're from other users.

If you're purchasing a key from G2A, you might as well install the OS using an ISO and activating it with a keygen.

I would not buy from G2A. TBH I would rather pirate it, though I don't condone such actions.

 

G2A Keys tend to last for 1-2 years because they are MSDN keys, which are illegal to sell. Likewise, they are not an authorized reseller of Microsoft software.

As OP stated, an SSD is not necessary. And the performance benefit of the R9 280X outweighs the benefit of an SSD for a gaming rig.

honestly i have never bought a os, no pirated one, ive only gotten my os from dell, pre-instaled, and when i have to do another instal i have a key from them.

 

honestly though i would go legit and buy a full code so that you can get official support
