Was it worth it?

cmb6062

I just bought a "Acer Aspire E5-571 15,6 HD" for 650,04 USD (489,09 Euro)

The Specs:

Core i5-4210U 8GB RAM 1000GB HDD Windows 8.1

Wont get it before next week, and I wondered what you guys think about it.

(I needed a cheap laptop for school with decent specs)

It's ~£420 brand new in the UK, you got ripped off imo, more so if it's second hand.

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

Arguing with religious people is like explaining to your mother that online games can't be paused...

It's good, although I prefer AMD for laptops. Better price/performance and stays cool enough to not kill itself in the middle of class.

So are you saying that OP should build a mITX rig and a 17" monitor to bring to school?

Except, you know, for those of us who travel or move around quite a bit. Then it makes perfect sense.

Really? I've had the opposite experience. I find they're horribly slow, and chew through battery worse than anything else.
