Linux? All I need to know...

Hi guys, I want to download Linux operating system on my PC already running windows 8.1 pro. I want to keep both operating systems and switch between them whenever I want.

Which Version of Linux should I download and why? :)

Depends, what are planning on doing with it? Are you looking for a friendly distro or a build-it-yourself advanced, power distro?

I like Fedora with Cinnamon and Pacman. 

 

Don't use it anymore though since I play too many games.

it also depend a bit of the power that your machine have (the specs are ?...)

 

i use Ubuntu GNOME on my weak machine (and she love it) :D

CPU = A10 6800K (@4.3Ghz) / GPU = HD 8670D (@844mhz/ram@1866mhz) - 2016 ≠ Dual Cores - why learn Linux ? - OLD intel x4 cpu (Q6600) + amd HD 7950 - this is what i think on watts x dollar cost - CPU "bottlenecks" only start to show "at the super high end cards" (like the 390) if you have a 4 cores CPU

If i was you i should first watch some video's about the differences between some linux desktops like Cinnamon, GNOME, KDE and Xfce. And then just look for the most popular OS with that desktop on websites like Distowatch
