Switching from iPhone to Note_ or_ Note to iPhone ...and why?

equippedbum

I have the Note 3 and am seriously thinking of switching to the new iPhone 6.

Is there anyone here doing the same,...switching from Samsung to Apple or vice versa...and why?

Do you think it's a good or bad idea?

It's a pain if you are heavily invested in one OS and then switching to another. But it's always good to switch things up <3

I had a 4S I had to give to my brother, and I bought a Moto G.

I returned the Moto G, and spend $40 more to buy another 4S off eBay.

Android is alright, but iOS is much better IMO. If you like iOS, stick around to see if the 6 seems interesting... It'll be announced early Sept. and ship maybe a month later.

True, you might end up liking it, but it might be a hassle at the beginning. Well, I'm never using android again after I got my iphone, unless they mess up iOS completely

Make sure to jailbreak it!

The switch from Android to iOS isn't that bad unless you are a true power user.

If you just play games, web browse, take pictures, text, and add a dash of productivity, both platforms aren't MASSIVELY different.

What makes you want to switch?

Might be helpful to know :)

While I understand that people want the ability to customize everything, when I use a phone I want exactly what apple offers, a phone that just works. I don't want to spend any amount of time at all setting up something I only use to call/text/use social media

Can you tell me why iOS is much better ?

One word: Optimization.

And neither are probably better, some people just prefer iOS

Android doesn't offer much tweaking either.

Right...except I can change pretty much everything about the look of the OS...

There are a few problems with iOS.

1) When Phonebloks is released, iOS is redundant.

2) To get nearly as many features as unrooted Android, you have to jailbreak and that ends your warranty

While I do like a lot of things about iOS I just can't use it myself. I feel too restricted whenever I use an iPhone, even when do simple things. I think the main reason for that is lack of customization and lack of integration of third party apps with the OS. I mean for heaven's sake let me pick my browser Apple, I don't want Safari.

If I switch to anything from Android, I would switch to Windows Phone just to see how it is. If that doesn't work, I don't know really. There were suppose to be others, Jolla, Tizen, Firefox OS, Blackberry... but they are barely on the market at this point. How is that Amazon phone doing?
