Everyone is getting this. They are giving everyone parallel download and upload speeds.

Symmetric is the correct term to indicate a download and upload speed that are the same :P A normal connection that most people have, say, like 50Mbps down, and 2Mbps up, is an asymmetric connection because the upload speed is so much lower than the download speed, however on occasion, this can be reversed, though that's not common.
