Hello, is there a way to make my second screen act as a different pc. I am currently running windows 8.1 with no applications which affect how the desktop works and a AMD 7870 (in case I can do this in the graphics card software)

For example,

At the moment, when I press show desktop it shows the desktop on all the monitors instead of just the one which is annoying.

Thanks for any help.

If you have a separate computer...

Or you can try something like this:

Still, I think it would be better to have another low/mid power machine to do this...

That would be nice but I cannot drag windows between them.

I'll try that but I am afraid that will take up too much resources or be too slow.

Thanks for replying so fast.

Maybe you're thinking of using the second monitor as an auxiliary monitor...

I don't know of any existing way for one to drag windows between 2 machines unless it's using a workspace-sharing program like Google Docs... Even then, it's not fully possible...
