increase the voltage and test it. You may just have to run at a lower speed if you cant get it stable. If it is not running stable it will not performance as good as a lower clock speed.

I overclocked my i7 4770k to 4.2GHz, where I find the temperatures to be comfortable, but I notice some weird glitches and freezes sometimes.
So I'm asking you for help, I put my CPU Voltage at 1.2V, and wonder how I can make it more stable.

How much should I increase the voltage by? I know the 4770k can take more then 4.2, but my cooler can't handle it.

increase by .1 increments until temps get too high. Or just just to 1.25 and watch the temps during a stress test.

.01 actually. Going from 1.2 to 1.3 is a pretty steep jump in voltage.

meant .01

Yes....well, I'd back the voltage down. You seemed to have just gotten a bad overclocker. I'd personally prefer to stay around 70-75 max.

Update: Reduced speed so it runs at 4.1 when 3 and 4 cores are active, and 4.2 when 1 or 2 are active (Just testing for stability) with uncore at 4.2. Voltage is at 1.21 due to high temps. Still throttling ALOT, as soon as it reaches ~78C it goes directly back down to 3.5 and won't go back until around 65C. Guessing temps won't reach 90 if the throttle isn't active, but have no idea how.
