RAM questions

Hey all,

 

I'm going to get some new RAM soon for my rig, but had some questions:

 

1. I'm eyeing these kits:

How established is Avexir as a brand? (Big MSI fanboy here. Hence those kits with the Red LED and MSI dragons instantly stood out)

 

2. As for the timings and speed. is there any difference at all? They're both exactly the same price. No plans on OC-ing them. 
 

3. I currently have 8GB of 1333MHz G.Skill Ripjaws in there. Would they play nice with the kits mentioned above, until I get a second 8gb kit and replace the G.Skills with them?

Avexir are a decent brand, so it will do well. Your Ripjaws should (but may not) play well, but the speed of the Avexir RAM will have to be brought down to 1333MHz AFAIK.

Alright, good to know. Which of the two kits would you go for then? Based on speed and timings. Taking into account that within the very near future they will be running on full speed as a 16gb total.
