I am sure there is a thread like this, but i could see it. I am starting my first custom loop and I would like some help on radiators. I was looking at the EK CoolStream XT Series and the XSPC RS or RX series if it fits. I was wondering what those radiators are like. Any other suggestions are welcome, but nothing super think. Fan suggestions are welcome to for 120mm. I am looking at Corsair SP Series.

Radiator brand is not important. There is no "worse" radiators.

In terms of how many and which radiators you need you will need to tell us your case and what components you want to cool.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

the XT series is built on 45-50mm thicknesses as the XTX is 60mm+ thick.

the XT is comparable to the alphacool XT45 line

the XTX is comparable to the alphacool UT60, XSPC RX-series

like ghost spoke of, the radiator rating is usually based on performance in

cooling and functional use of fan/fan speeds.

to render informational help we would need build specs and use.

budget, system, case, mobile, air-cooled temperatures under load.

I am using the corsair 500r case and planning on cooling a cpu and a gpu maybe a second gpu if i get one. I was planning on putting a 240 radiator on top, 120mm on the bottom, and 120mm on the front. Allthough i might put a 280mm one on top instead, but that depends on what i decide later. Also i am not removing both hard trays in the front so i will not put a 240mm there.

I plan on putting the top in pull configuration and the front and bottom in push.

My system is not built at the moment so i dont know how hot it runs under load with air-cooling, but my processor is 3570k and the gtx 780 when a good waterblock comes out.

Hope that helps and i dont want to run my fans at really high speeds so i dont know what radiators are better for slower speeds like that.

how hot does your build get under load? vCORE voltage?

240/280x 60 in the roof and 240x 60 in the front for single GPU would

cover it pretty good with a hot clock and GPU clocking. the single rads

are not going to lower the actual temps in the way 240/360 do. and

having 2 120/140 rads will add more tubing (nightmare) and small temp

diffs.

if moving to SLI/CFX, then you need moar radiator support.

minimum is 360x 60 and 240x60 for headroom and low fan speed usage

for max overclock CPU/GPU(s).
