Hey!

I am not a noob of overclocking but would like some help and advice on what to do/use etc.

I have managed to overclock my i5 3570k to 4GHz but want to push it further, but I know, or I don't know if there is anything else I need to do. It can't just be about changing the CPU Clock and the CPU Vcore. I have heard somewhere about changing the RAM clock or something to make it stable but anyway.

I don't want t hassle of having to go into the BIOS and change the stuff every time I want to increase my clock, could you say using something like a program to increase the voltages and clock while in windows and see if it become stable, and then putting in the values I got upto and got a stable over clock on, into the BIOS?

Also, what software should I use to stress test my CPU and to monitor the temperatures etc?

If need anymore information, please post below.

PS. System is on my profile. ;)

For simple overclocking all you really need to worry about is CPU Multiplier and CPU VCore, if you are experienced enough there are more voltages and stuff you can adjust but for basic overclocking you can just mess with CPU Multiplier and CPU VCore (I have a 3570K at 4.4GHz at 1.14V and I didn't mess with any other voltages or anything and it is totally stable :)) Also unless you have an ASUS motherboard (So you can use AI Suite to overclock from inside Windows) then I'm 99% sure you have to go into the BIOS everytime.

PS: I use Prime95 and OCCT to stress test and I use CoreTemp, HWMonitor and CPUZ to monitor tempuratues and voltages.

For exactly your CPU there is this video. It's old though. I've linked a more recent one below. Same information really. :)

Ah okay. So I'll have to go in and out of the BIOS all the time. Thats not a problem I guess :P

Thanks for the videos, these videos always make me wish that I had gotten a better overclocking orientated motherboard :L

I want to try and push my CPU to 4.4GHz at least sooo I hope I can do it sometime.

Just make sure you keep your VCore under 1.3V and your load temperatures under 90C :)
