Hi guys I have toshiba satellite c55-a-1nu notebook and I want to connect zeusone router and all I can hear is sound of connecting and disconnecting USB. ZeusOne is my router booster for 1500m range signal boost or signal pick up. It works fine on my PC but on my laptop all I hear is connecting disconnecting sound, Laptop is formated and brand new with win8.1 and same goes with my PC. Does laptop USB provide less power so that is issue or something?

It could be that the USB ports are being kept on low power to save power. Go to the USB ports in device manager and set them to full power and that might alleviate the problem.

That might be the case. Does your laptop has USB ports with a small lightning symbol near them? Those are usually 2A ports.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

no but I have x2 2.0 USB and x1 usb 3.0. But also the problem is when I reset it with router connected, while it is in bios and loading OS the lamp on router/booster is glowing constantly, but when OS loads the LED starts bllinking and I hear sound of connecting and disconnecting.

If you hear the "connect" sound, it should be somewhere in device manager. Probably missing drivers or something.

It is constant connect/disconnect sound at the same time. LED is blinking on router when is connected to notebook. But on my PC it is always glowing and it stays connected even if I don't have drivers installed. I installed drivers later and found that device is working properly. Maybe 500mA USB ports on notebook aren't strong for device that boosts signal and receives signal from 1500m ?

In device menager all I have is option for "let this usb device wake up pc bla bla" and I tried with and without that. Same stuff happens. I can't find like option for USB power and stuff. Also USB speed doesn't exist in bios mode, like in my PC there are options for Hi-Speed USB ports and other speeds...

You could try with a powered usb-extension cable.

Have you tried all USB-ports?

Why use usb-extension cable? The provided cable is long 30 cm and it works just fine on PC, but on notebook it can't even connect properly...

And yes I tried all usb ports, even USB 3.0 which can provide 5A of power
