Kingston SSDNow S100 - Solid state drive - 16 GB - internal - 2.5" - SATA-300

 

Is this a good deal if i get it for £20, for my OS and mabye 1 or 2 games? OR JUST THE OS?

 

Win 7 64Bit

Isn't W7 about 20+gb after updates? Only if you are actually using Windows 7 ofc - Linux is much lighter

 

Sure for £20 seems like a good deal but I'm afraid 16gb wont be enough.

Wont be good for your OS, you might be able to get a few games on there. however depending on your motherboard you could set this as a cache. If you have a Z68 chipset or newer there is Smart Response. Basically it caches your most frequently used areas of your hard drive and speeds things up for you.

I agree with Legion, save up a bit get a 120gb SSD and you'll really see an improvement. However if you have a gift card your itching to spend this will give you a boost in speed, you will probably notice it but not for long and its not much of a boost.
