I am going to replace my stock 200mm CM fan in my CM storm stryker with two SP120 HP fans..They will be exhausting air threw the top fan filter..The 200mm fan barely does this as when i take of the filter there is a big difference in case cooling..So for this job i want the SPs and not the AFs right?

Also i am replacing my two 120mm intake fans also..They pull threw air filters also..So do i got with SP fans for that also? And my stock CM fan controller can run these fans right?

Thank you :)

Replacing the 200mm with two 120s..Srry thats what i meant to say..I can have 1 200mm or 2 120/140s up top..

That doesnt sound right, what case do you have?

My xpredator case has a 200mm fan in the roof too, and so does a storm enforcer i built for a friend.
I'd say if you're using it as an exhaust just take the filter out and keep the 200, it'll move a higher volume of air OR be quieter than 2x120mm fans (we know this to be true) yes the filter is causing a restriction but why have that filter if the air is getting blown out of it?? its like linus says you want filtered intakes and silence. B)

as for the front, if you have 1 cage with hard drive in it then keep the fans running infront of it (replace with an sp120 if you like) and if the other cage doesn't have anything in it keep the stock fan but disconnect it.
less air being sucked in=less dust, less power usage, less noise, less maintanence (I hate cleaning the pc but im slightly OCD)

"BUT YOU NEED AIRFLOW!!! :o "
Thats a big case, the amount of airflow through that case with quiet fans is going to be slow moving anyway and with a big 200mm fan in the roof drawing air out there will still be enough airflow and if dust can settle then its definately going to settle with the amount of air being sucked in (either that or its just going to clog the filters) B)

oh and sp's have a flatter blade profile to force the air through restrictions more (at the expense of air flow), AF fans have a more agressive design to get air speed but in tight places like radiators and heatsinks where fins are mm apart the airflow can be restricted (unless used in pushpull), if you can blow through the mount and feel the airflow on your hand sufficiently enough id say get some lower speed AF series fans (volumetric efficiency decreases as the air tries to rush through a restriction faster-i learnt this when i did  car mechanics, higher engine rpm=more restriction in the cylinder head which leads to lower efficiency, given a restriction having faster and faster fans leads to decreasing returns.)

Taking my top dust filter off would be a bad idea when my comp is next to a sliding glass door to a back yard full off dirt..And a 70pd dog that runs and kicks up dust and dirt all day..The dust will just fall into the top of my computer when it is off..So i must leave it on as i am very OCD about dust..I dust my comp room everyday..So i think i am just going to get 2 SP 120s Hi per fans for the top exhaust..I have 2 SP 120s now on my 120mm rad in push pull in the back of the case. And they are running off my Sabertooth and are not loud at all.

So the 2 front CM fans are not very good..So should i replace those with SPs also?I have a SSD and HD plus the whole front has dust filters also..I got a $50 newegg promo for spending $500 on tax day so i have to spend it before it expires..That's why i am trying to figure out what to get... :)

They'll be great, just make sure to get the Quiet Editions since they have a superior performance:noise ratio.

if dirt really is that big of an issue then sure keep the filter on and get 2 hi perf sp120s for the top (maybe get an mcubed t balancer to control them and others) and id say if your hard drive bays fans were that bad you'd of replaced them on day 1, that aid if you can get a deal buy buying 4 (2 top, 2 hard drives) or something sure go for it it'll be more of a corsair built then :P

it might do, but i still dont trust built in fan controlers since 1 of mine died with 1x200mm fan, put the 2 sp120s from your rad into a cpu header so that it can control the fan speeds, put the pump on a separate 12v only header and then id get a mcubed tbalancer or buy 2 slow speed fans for the drive bays and 2 high performance for the top ones and run them through molex connections, its not nice but itll work.

get 2 AP141's or 2 Prolimatech Red Vortex fans, they work extremely well with fan filters restricting there airflow and will also be quieter and move more air compared to 120mm fans, especially SP optimized 120mm fans.
