Well, I just got shot in the foot with one of my own plans. I was planning on getting a PCI wireless card that was low profile and a PCI riser board for a video card. Well, the PCI riser boards are freaking expensive, so now I need to know what a good USB wireless dongle is for $30 or less (US).

 

Preferred sellers are Newegg and Amazon for this one.

i have a netgear n-300 wireless dongle that i no longer use since i just ran a cable.... its a dongle and has a 3 foot cord so you can try and position it closer to the AP. it works well and is pretty much a month old. think i paid $20 for it. there is one that is slower for less but at bestbuy it was the cheapest 300mb dongle.

 

had to edit the price my reciept shows i paid $20. but really if you just go to amazon and seach usb wireless adapter youll see like 30-40 of them under $20. i personaly prefer something with an extension or a high gain antenna

I've had the Netgear N300 dongle as well and it also crapped out on me after a month or two and swapped out with the N13. The Asus N13 is the only USB adapter that hasn't crapped out on me once, and now I have 2 of them and an N53 around the house.
