I currently have a svchost problem and I'm not quite sure if its the source of my systems crashes which happen after playing a game or after 5 hours of the system running, i get hard hangs (system becomes unresponsive) and in my event viewer there's 'kernel power' problems (unexpected shut down error code)  and Svchost errors which are inside my 'ESENT' events.

The error code is 'svchost error 3592 & 1018'.

Any advice or directions in the right way would be greatly appreciated, i'm active and will get back to replies ASAP

Many thanks - Gears

I was thinking this, i've moved my pc into a non-confined area, but i'm not clocked either at 3.40Ghz

Have you checked your temps though? Also, try a Linux live distro and see if that crashes your system.

The thing is I've had the pc 12 days no problems up until the past 2 so I don't really understand what's it's problem now...

Everything works fine until it doesn't. The heatsink may have come off.

I never took into account the heatsink, damn haha and i'll look into it now as long as it isn't a dodgy site haha!

Also try running a Prime95 stress test to see how hot it gets under load.

Thing is im worried prime will make it worse, i'm gonna scan over the heatsink give it a clean and possibly add a slight bit more therm paste because i never put loads on in first place incase i flooded it etc, i will see how it goes in the morning and i will get back at you, thanks for the assistance, greatly appreciated
