Water Cooling Loop Question

Go to solution Solved by Excon,

It won't make a difference

Hello Folks.

I'm currently working on a loop.

My question is, would it make a temperature difference if I make my loop like this:

Res->Pump->Rad->CPU->Rad->Res...

instead of:

Res->Pump->Rad->Rad->CPU->Res...

I'm on mobile so I can't make a drawing, but I hope you get my question.

Thanks!

Well you might say that having the water cooled right before it goes in the cpu is better... but that's a fraction of a degree so it doesn't matter which option you go with. Pick the one that looks the best to you.

How does that look?

I'll use red coolant.

Is the pump and res behind the motherboard tray or farther down in the picture? I'm a bit confused.

It's behind the tray.

It's an Air 540 case so there's plenty of room.
