Hey guys I have an XFX AMD Radeon 6950 that looks like the photo attached. I've been searching for a long time for a water block but every time I find one it is either discontinued or there's not enough info to be sure about it. I'm uncomfortable taking it apart to see the board because of warranty issues, so I'm only doing that until I get the block itself. Any help would be AMAZING. Thanks!

i dont think that card has any warranty left (unless xfx gives 3 years of warranty) (and depending when you bought it)

its going to be though finding a block for that, maybe try second hand?

XFX cards are reference design anyway, only difference is that the PCB may be colored black on some of their coolers, but it's still reference layout. So many if not all blocks for 6950 should fit fine.

sounds great, but still couldn't find any for that :/

that's what my friend said but I thought it would be cool to just add the block rather than get a new card, you know?

Unless you already have a custom loop it's not worth it to get a water block.

Welcome to Linus Tech Tips by the way! :)

this is my setup btw :)

That and a 6950?

I would buy a new aircooled card instead. But that is just me.

i honestly think that if you were to find a waterblock for it it would cost approximately the same as if you bought another one also nice rig man im jealous

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.
