100% doesn't mean anything. Are you lagging? If that's the problem then you're probably running too much applications.

What game specifically causes this, or is it all of your games? If it is all of your games, check task manager (With the game running) and see if anything else is using your CPU. If not, then some games are more CPU intensive than others, I could just be normal.

Also, a 4670k will most definitely not bottleneck your GPU.

You will know for sure if your CPU is bottlenecking, because it will result in a lower FPS in games.

I doubt that a 4670k is bottlenecking unless you have like a 4 way sli titan z setup, and even then... ;)

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

I only run skype or ts. These are the only app running with the game.

Woah, a 4670k should NEVER be at 100% in a game. I don't think I've seen my 4670k reach 90% with anything yet, and I do some intense recording/streaming/video editing. I monitor my usage when I do these things as well.

What game are you playing?

Huh, I've played and recorded with all of those games before =/

Sounds like there's something really wrong, my guess is some sort of conflicting software, or maybe a bad chip?

Are all four cores at 100%? Or is just one core at 100%?

I think its a bad chip. I checked every cable of my psu, and that they are correctly in the connectors.

Right click on your taskbar, select 'Start Task Manager', then at the bottom of the task manager window, press 'Show processes from all users'.

Have you checked how the CPU performs at stock speeds? I know I've had a few CPUs that just wouldn't cooperate when overclocked... I know that a 4670k with a z87 mobo practically begs to be OC'd, but it's worth a try?

And take a screen shot of that, OP.

All cores.

Hmmm. I am assuming it has always been like this? Have you tried reinstalling windows? Worth a shot before RMA'ing. I don't think this is a hardware problem though. When you're playing games what are your temps? I'm not asking this in case of it getting too hot, but to see if it is doing anything at all.

EDIt: My bad you said the temps.

wtf 99C? What are you using to monitor the temperature?

What is your CPU cooler? Did you apply thermal paste?
