4670k problems! HELP

I tried it, i could not get a good oc. 4.2 ghz and allready 99 C

I'm confused, are you trying to say that you're already at stock speeds, or are you at 4.2?

If you're at 4.2, try the stock 3.4?

Running stock now, because of the heat.

wtf 99C? What are you using to monitor the temperature?

What is your CPU cooler? Did you apply thermal paste?

Yes i did, H60 its not the best cooler in the world. i used realtemp

Hmmm. I am assuming it has always been like this? Have you tried reinstalling windows? Worth a shot before RMA'ing. I don't think this is a hardware problem though. When you're playing games what are your temps? I'm not asking this in case of it getting too hot, but to see if it is doing anything at all. 

 

EDIt: My bad you said the temps. 

I just switched to windows 8.1 and before with windows 7 same problems. 

 

Edit: clean install.

I still can't think this is a hardware problem but i have no idea what would be causing it software wise. Is there any weird background processes? Download anything suspect at all?

Ow wait my cpu does not stable stay at 3.4 and 3.8 boost. Its always fluctuating. All over the place.

What is your ram set to? Using XMP profile is bios right? Probably not it but worth a shot.

Are the power saving settings on for your chip? Turn off the power settings. In your power options in windows what is the maximum CPU frequency? I'm running out of ideas.

I don't know your bios layout. Just search around for Intel power savings or CPU power savings or whatever. 

Wait I have the same mobo as you. It is where you overclock. Before the voltage changer thing but after where you change the multiplier. Also, make sure you are in performance mode in AI suite.
