Hey guys! I'm having serious trouble trying to enable crossfire here. Whenever i plug the second card in and  try to boot  the screen goes black after the windows logo. If i go o safe mode there is no problem whatsoever. After uninstalling catalyst and the driver i can boot normally but when i reinstall catalyst and reboot the system it starts all over again. Both cards work fine when used solo.

My pc:

 fx-8320 no oc

8gb hyperx ram 1600mhz

ZM700-GLX psu

two 6850's (one msi OC and one xfx ghost)

mobo GA970A-DS3P bios F1 (set optimized defaults)

Windows 7 x64 sp1

catalyst 14.2 (tried also 14.6 14.3...)

Sorry if I forgot something! I would really appreciate any help!

Have you tried 14.4? And others?

Also have you reinstalled windows? There might be compatibility issues with some other program you have installed.

First thing in my mind... Have you tried using a different crossfire bridge than the one you use normally?

This is very very unlikely a software related issue as it appears that your cards halt as soon as driver is loaded, since the driver is loaded before all else that runs off of it, I would say you are fine on that front. However still use 14.4, that is the latest stable release and it never hurts to have the latest of drivers :)

He said he has tried out 14.6, that is pretty much 14.4 with some updates in game profiles and CCC, the core is the same.

Thanks guys! I managed to enable crossfire reinstalling the driver with only one card and plugin in the other! But now i'm having random blue screens. I have bios moded my first card to work at 850/1100 and it worked just fine, this could be the problem? My screen freezed even without a bridge connected so i dont thinks the bridge is the problem. Ill try to install windows on a second hard drive and test it.
