"Access is denied" when trying to install hardware drivers.

Vitalius

I'm trying to install LAN drivers on Windows 2008 R2 Server. When I try, it says Access is Denied. I've never seen that before and find it weird. I'm the Local Administrator.

The motherboard is an ASRock C2750D4I, and I pulled the drivers from their website. They are being installed from a USB drive I have.

I'm not quite sure what could be causing this. I did do some stuff in Group Policy, but I didn't think it'd affect the Local Administrator. I tried moving the Drivers from the USB to the My Documents folder but still the same thing.

If I run the wizard, it says the NICs aren't there. If I go to Device Manager > Update Driver Software, it says Access is Denied.

In Device Manager, I clicked "Scan for Hardware changes" and that fixed it. Nevermind. I fail.
